Susu Gili captures the spirit of the island-raised kid. A little more relaxed than most. Always seeking comfort in the heat and instinctively knowing how to cool down. The ease of switching between languages. An intuitive nature. An understanding of the moon’s pull on the tides. A love for sandals and the simple pleasure of eating and savouring food with one’s hands. A deep, almost instinctive connection to culture and a genuine respect for it. 

All of our pieces are produced in our family-owned factory in Bali, which has been operating for over 30 years. We do not follow the traditional fashion calendar and instead design around the natural rhythm of the tropics, the wet and dry seasons.

Susu currently has a retail store on Gili Air, a tiny island with a circumference of just under five kilometres, surrounded by clear blue waters and the humbling mountains of neighbouring islands. Life here unfolds under bright sun and coconut trees, among beach cats, lush greenery, and people with big hearts.
